In November 2019, Streamline launched the Redesign Streamline 2020 planning process. The project involves a comprehensive study of Streamline service and operations, culminating in a Transit Development Plan that details recommendations and implementation strategies for near- and long-term service changes. The short-term route recommendations are scheduled to be implemented in the fall of 2021.
In April 2020, Transit, Management, and Design, Inc. released their existing conditions report of the Streamline bus system. The report can be downloaded here. The report details everything from Streamline’s service history to current service utilization to service availability. It also discusses the next steps in the redesign process.
After completing the Existing Conditions report, Transportation, Management, and Design, Inc. created a survey that was available to the public. The purpose of the survey was to learn more about travel patterns, key community destinations, etc. The survey was open during the months of April and May 2020. During these two months, it received almost 900 responses! These survey results helped us draft our initial service recommendations report!
In August 2020, Transportation, Management, and Design, Inc. released the initial service recommendation report for Streamline. Streamline received public comment on the initial service recommendations in August and September of 2020.
After reviewing the public comment, Transportation, Management, and Design, Inc. released their final Transit Development Plan in January 2021. The final report can be found here.
The short-term routes identified in the Transit Development Plan will be implemented in August of 2021. The long-term routes will be implemented in upcoming years as additional funding becomes available.
