Jennifer has served Gallatin County in different capacities for years. Her career has focused on water resources, city planning and public land management. She has served on various boards, while also working with many community-centered organizations.
Bruce Grubbs has lived in Bozeman for over 40 years. Bruce is married to Robin Thomas and has a son and a daughter who grew up in Bozeman and now live out of state. Bruce has owned several small businesses in Bozeman and is now retired. Bruce served on the Bozeman School Board for 16 years and also served in the Montana House of Representatives for two terms. Bruce has been very involved in the Bozeman community and continues to be involved on the HRDC board and GVUTD board.
Linda Sherwood has lived for over 30 years in Bozeman and is retired from MSU. She has a son with developmental disabilities who rides the bus daily to and from work, church, and to visit friends.
Terry Cunningham, a six-year member of the Bozeman City Commission is now the city’s mayor. Mayor Cunningham has served in a number of volunteer leadership roles, including Chair of the Bozeman Health Board of Trustees, Executive Director of Run Dog Run, and co-founder of the Bozeman Climbing Boulder Initiative. He enjoys hiking, running, skiing and biking on area trails and slopes with his wife, Laura, and their two dogs Seamus and Maeve.
Sarah Knoebl is a Campus Planner at Montana State University, where she supports transportation and capital infrastructure planning initiatives. Sarah is passionate about fostering dynamic, well-connected, and resilient communities. Sarah holds a master’s degree in Urban and Regional Planning from University of Colorado Denver. When Sarah’s not working, she can usually be found gardening, skiing or hiking with her dog.
Mark is passionate about environmental sustainability and livable, equitable communities. Professionally, Mark works at the intersection of transportation planning and technology. Mark likes running and biking long distances and is grateful to call Bozeman home.
Matt McGee, Belgrade resident since 2015, Gallatin Valley resident since 2012, and Montana resident for most of his life, is the newest member of the Belgrade City Council. For work, Matt is a Project Manager for Pierce Flooring & Design. Outside of work, he is also the Vice President of the Belgrade Kiwanis Club. Recently married, with no kids, Matt has the time and energy to commit to helping the local community grow and thrive.
Rebecca runs the office of Off-Campus Student Life at Montana State University, after graduating with a BFA in 2015. She works to provide resources and support to students in accessing housing, transportation, and childcare resources in the Valley. Rebecca also serves as a board member of QFSA, and sits on the All-Staff Council, advocating for the needs of MSU staff. She is passionate about student advocacy and education, and worked as an early childhood educator for a decade before returning to MSU.
Jen MacFarlane is a research associate at Montana State University’s Western Transportation Institute where she researches the intersection between transportation and public health. Her work focuses on transportation equity, chronic disease prevention, and increasing physical activity through access to active transportation. In addition to a master’s degree in public health, Jen brings over 20 years of experience related to public health program planning, implementation, and policy change.
